About Us
September 2009
I received a signed bowling ball from Danny Wiseman that he had used in the first Geico Plastic Ball Challenge. I decided that I wanted to display the ball, but didn't want to risk any damage to it or the signature by having it exposed to the daily elements.
Having been a carpenter and general tinkerer, I chose to make a display case for it. But how could I make a case that would compliment the ball? I shopped around and found a few cheap plastic ones that could be used for basketballs, soccer balls, etc. This would not do for my signed bowling ball.

I set to work trying different things and ideas until I had it down to a workable design. After a few hiccups, I came up with what I had envisioned for the ball. The original case, (which still houses the ball), took around 2 weeks for me to make with lots of trial and error along the way. At that point in time, I had no intention of making more than one case. I was so pleased with the way it turned out, I took a picture and sent it in an e-mail to Danny Wiseman so he could see just what I had done with the ball that he had signed for me.

About two months passed and one morning I received an e-mail from Danny. He was curious if I would be willing to make a display for him to give someone as a gift. I was stunned, honored and whatever other emotion I went through. Of course I told him ,"Sure" and got to work on it.
Danny told me that he would eventually like to get more for some of his other bowling balls from past events that he had won. I had no problem with this at all.

January 2010
I had been wanting to go see a PBA event live and knew that the Dick Weber Open was going to be in Southern California. I thought this would be a great place to get to meet Danny face to face. My wife and I bought tickets for a night of qualifying and for the finals on Sunday. We were at the qualifying and seeing all the pros at the same time was a little un-nerving. Finally I saw Danny standing and watching the event. I walked up to him, excused and introduced myself. We stood there watching and talking and Danny said, "It's too bad you can turn them out quicker because there's nothing out there like it."

That became my next challenge. To make them faster, better and be able to turn them out in a timely manner. I built jigs, setups, patterns and all sorts of other things to aid in the production on the displays. I have made many now for customers and friends alike and have gotten it down to about 12 hours per display, but with drying times, etc. That 12 hours is spread out over 3 days. Some people have commented that they are a little 'pricey' for what they are but when you figure the time and effort put into each display, they really are a bargain.

Since then I have designed the pin display and pin rack for other customers and I offer them here for sale.

Thank you for your consideration.
